I have always believed the forum is a useful communication tool for the club, not only can it keep you the membership informed but it gives the ability to discuss topics of concern and help the committee make decisions. In a recent poll Nelson was named third in highest Internet users with Auckland and Wellington coming first and second so we are an electronic city in this the electronic age. Another big thing to remember is the current turn over of membership, this was raised at the recent AGM, we are always looking for new members and they are todays youngsters who are growing up with the Internet as part of their lives and will be encouraged to become Ulysses members as it will show the club moves with the times. I would like the club to have their own web site built, the club have the funds to do it, which would remove the current annoying adverts but also give the opportunity to have local adverts which would mean something to the members and raise a little income to self finance the running of the site. These are just my thoughts, do you have any?

As a new member I'm still finding my way around everything - including the website. The ads don't bother me, as they're easy to ignore and I assume they keep the cost of running the website down. Good on you for keeping it going
