This week is a Thursday ride once again and this time heading west to the River Cafe Murchison this will be the ideal opportunity to bed in my new Metzler tyres. Coffee will be at Pomeroy’s from 11. On the return we could take a right turn to St Arnauld and take Tophouse Road and Eighty Eight Valley road into Wakefield and this week I expect to be riding.

Three Triumph's, a Honda and a Harley rode to Murchison which was pretty blustery and riding with a gusting wind is always tricky especially in the bends. My new tyres were not feeding confidence back to me on the way there and felt quite loose over the Hope Saddle but on the way back felt completely different. On inspecting the tyres at Murchison they were quite warm which is how they should be so I wonder if they needed that heat cycle to make them work. I know this is the case with race tyres so its possibly the same with road tyres? On the return we stopped off in Wakefield for a coffee before heading off our separate ways.
