Maybe could have reduced it a little! This is better. I changed the settings in Photobucket to activate "IMG thumb" which places a thumbnail in the post and to see a bigger image just click it. Clicking the image takes you to Photobucket and a larger image but ensure you have signed out of your account. Photobucket is free.

This is my second visit - I am now in Argentat on the N bank of the river Dordogne, Correze, France. Will try to attach something.......This is a catch up on various bits of motorcycling done in the last few months. It starts with getting to the circuit Grosnik for the world sidecar races near Krk in Croatia. Followed by a days riding to Lake Bohinj in Slovenia, this was as good as it gets, many more photos on my Flickr site—search under people “TerryHainsworth”. Then back in Haworth, Yorkshire UK is a local charity night featuring classic bikes, beer and pie and peas—we know how to live in Yorkshire tha knows. Padgett's are a well known (IOM sponsor) dealer in Batley, Yorks. They let me know that the new Honda CRF250L arrived so I went, was impressed but bought from another dealer swapping my XT 250 that had served me well for 4 years. The Honda uses the new engine as fitted to the CBR 250 but chipped a little differently for more torque for trail riding. I’ve only done 300 miles but like the quality and feel of the injected and water-cooled bike, it does over 100 miles before the fuel warning comes on which is OK for me. Di and I can put it on Mercie OK, it’s a bit taller and 17kg heavier than the Yamaha. This visit to the Honda dealer gave me a chance to ride the new NC (new concept) range of 700cc machines. There is a naked 700S, 700X adventure and even a scooter. All have helmet storage and choice of auto transmission, they are low revving high torque and VERY fuel efficient. I rode the 700S manual and then the 700X with the dual clutch auto/manual transmission. I revved them to the limiter and found them plenty powerful enough for my modest riding pace, as I keep my old bones as safe as possible! I think it would be the 700X for me but I would need a much longer ride to decide on the auto/manual choice. I reckon that Honda have made a very sound move. Bikes have started looking foolishly inefficient when compared to modern cars and its clear the liquid gold that they all need is not going to become any cheaper. I had wanted for several years to go to the National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham, UK again following the recovery from a disastrous fire. I managed a trip recently with a pal. What a wonderful world class place, you could even say that they have too much gear to look at. If you get chance to go you need at least half a day—pace yourself, there is a coffee shop upstairs. It brings home how the UK lead the world 1930-1960. Go if you can.

Dragging and dropping is not putting images onto the reply - any ideas? TerryH

Hi Terry.
A good report you seem to be getting some miles covered on this trip. To attach pictures if you take the thumbnail link from Flickr and place that in the message which should achieve adding a picture without having to reduce its size.
Cheers Andrew
