I am going for a Wednesday this week and I shall be riding rain or shine. Two weeks off the bike is too long and I miss the social side too. We'll meet at Pomeroy's at 11 am and ride over the Whangamoa to Havelock and if the weather is being really kind maybe to Picton. This is also another opportunity for the Konica Challenge although I am sure we will go this way again over the six months. If you are reading this add a thought or comment it could make a difference to BOF's planning.

Violet informs me that the Whangamoas have a lot of roadworks so we'll decide over coffee where we go.

Well Violet was quite right there were road works on the Whangamoas but they did not hold us up for long. Six of us left Pomeroy's and headed for our first stop at Havelock which was just for a quick Konica Challenge photo call at the Slip Inn. We then headed to Renwick and the Argosy Cafe, another photo call, for lunch and still wanting more we rode to Waikawa Bay and took more pictures for the Challenge. Four of us rode Queen Charlotte's Drive and stopped for yet more coffee at the Slip Inn and not arriving home till 7 pm. Just 190 km in all which goes to show how much time was spent putting the world to rights. An excellent days riding in good company one thing was obvious was the presence of the regions finest with their cameras so be cautious out there!!

As I was not around for this ride Pat wrote the ride report as below.
Mike, Henry & self met up with Heinz & Betty at Pomeroys. First 3 went Appleby, Inland Highway, Neudorf, Woodstock to Hidden Cafe. One sign said "Opening October 6th (I think) Other said closed. On to Flat Rock Cafe to set the world to rights As we were leaving about 7 Police arrived including (I think) the current District commander. Talked to one of them & it appeared there were not to many patrolling at that time so back we went, they way we had come.
Split up at Upper Moutere to do our own thing
