From the 1st October Konica Minolta Challenge rides can take place over a six month period and it makes ideal rides for us BOF's. There are a couple over 500 km and some that we visit often so something for everyone. I have broken them down to single, double and triple destinations which works out to six rides, most convenient for one a month. Konica Minolta Challenge rides Rides that are single trips include: – Collingwood 300 km, Lake Rotoiti 160 km, Okiwi Bay 160 km. Doubles are: – Havelock and Waikawa Bay 250 km, Argosy Cafe and Kaikoura 520 km. The longest one is Richmond (A) the letters relate to the Google map link below) to Maruia Lodge (B) to Reefton (C) to Greymouth (D) to Punakaiki (E) and back to Richmond (F). a total of 612 km and three out of the ten completed on a single, although long, ride. A Wednesday ride this week and as we are into October I though that we could kick off the Konica Minolta Challenge and head up to Lake Rotoiti with lunch at Kohatu (Tophouse is closed for lunch on Wednesdays). After lunch we could ride down to Tapawera through Dovedale and Neudorf and home via Upper Moutere. I maybe a little late to Pomeroy’s but I shall be there. Remember to bring your camera and bandana, that’s if you have registered?
